He splashes red and black against the predominant tan of Madame’s bedroom, where the action takes place. Mr. Little’s set makes excellent use of the tiny stage. Hinged flats, reminiscent of folding panel screens, provide clever nooks in which to incorporate furniture so that it doesn’t crowd the small stage and assault the eye.”
